The grounds and property

The villa is gated, fenced and landscaped for privacy. We enjoy our privacy and we know that our guests do too. Our groundskeeper and landscaping team are hard at work creating a lush tropical wall of vegetation  including plantain, palms, bananas and lemon trees. The house is on a sizable piece of hill-top property. The views of the ocean are sweeping and unobstructed. To ensure your privacy, you will have the entire house, pool, and property to yourself. The neighboring lot was recently added to Altamira and is vacant for increased privacy. Your most nosey neighbor may be the stray horse grazing in the field.

The swimming pool

 
Altamira's free form pool with waterfall is a big hit with guests. The pool was just resurfaced with sparkling hydrazzo. The pool deck offers wonderful views of the ocean. Watching the sunset and lighthouse from the pool is very relaxing. Usually we spend the day at the beaches but sometimes we just laze around the pool with a cool drink and a book. Swimming at night is wonderful with the stars overhead, the ocean in front, and the distant lights of the "main island". You will also enjoy the tropical gardens with bananas and flowers (maybe fresh "limones" if in season).
